Dr. Morita Sakura Cleansing Oil Trial & Thoughts Review + Demo!

Hello my beautiful darlings! For today's Trial & Thoughts Review we are testing out Dr. Morita's Sakura Cleansing Oil. I purchased it from TNT Supermarket which is a local Asian supermarket here in Vancouver. This 200ml bottle was $8 on sale & regular price is $12.

I've never tried anything with sakura in it before & when I tried this cleansing oil, the scent was a very faint/light sweet floral- nothing too bothersome. The consistency of this was not too thick & not too watery, which I enjoyed.

The packaging is made out of a cute pink plastic material & it comes with a pump dispenser.

I love how the pump reaches all the way to the bottom of the bottle so that when you are nearing the end of the product, it can easily still be pumped out. The bottle also comes with this plastic stopper which you can take on & off when in use. I think that is great especially if you plan on travelling with it.

In my demo (which you can see in the video below) I used 4 pumps for my face make up & an additional 2 for my eye make up. I wore my Maybelline color tattoo eye shadow, Majolica Majorca mascara, some eye liner, Tarte waterproof bronzer & some liquid foundation. Most of my make up was waterproof & very tough to get off.

1st step: Pump out enough cleansing oil onto palm of your hands
2nd: Massage the product in both hands
3rd: Apply the cleansing oil to your face, gently massaging the facial areas
4th: After make up has dissolved, take some warm water in your hands & massage your face. The more you massage, the softer your skin will feel.
5th: White milky consistency will appear, rinse entire face with warm water.
6th: Dry face with towel & you should look and feel clean, make up free & super soft & non drying!

My final thoughts on this Dr. Morita Sakura Cleansing Oil is that I think it is a wonderful product for removing even the toughest of make up! Especially for the price, it works beautifully & I am totally impressed. It left my skin feeling & looking soft & hydrated while really cleaning my waterproof make up off my face. It was so gentle on my skin and super easy to use & I will definitely continue to use it. Really glad I decided to try it out! ^___^

I hope this trial & thoughts review on Dr. Morita's Sakura Cleansing Oil was helpful to you. Let me know if you have any questions or comments! Thanks so much for reading!! Have a awesome day, mmmuah.

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Sunshine Sparkle

Hi loves & happy Monday! It finally rained over the weekend and I needed some sort of sunshine in the Summer. I decided to paint my nails for Mani Monday a sweet yellow shade from Revlon called "Sunshine Sparkle." There's always sun after the rain ^___~

Sunshine Sparkle is a pale soft yellow with fine silver sparkles. The sparkle is not too noticeable once I applied the polish on, only in the sunlight does it truly SPARKLE!

With this polish, I applied 3 coats to achieve the "non streaky" look. It did look streaky with just 2 coats.

Revlon's Sunshine Sparkle does give my nails that soft yet bright & cheery look to it, perfect for a sunny Summer day or even to brighten your mood up after the rain! The name suits the polish perfectly.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have an awesome week ahead!

Love, Linda

Foodie Friday: Les Faux Bourgeois

It was my birthday on July the 8th & hubby and I headed to a local French restaurant called "Les Faux Bourgeois" to celebrate! We always wanted to try this place & it was the perfect occasion to do so. ^___^

This French cafe was on the smaller size, quite quaint- very romantic!!

The decor & everything was very minimal and just gives you the feeling like you are going to have a great time, whether it be grabbing a drink with your friends at the bar, family dinners, dinner date or having an intimate birthday dinner with your special guy/girl! They make use of natural light with their big front windows & minimal lighting to create a dark, romantic, inviting ambiance.

To start, the very French waiter (yes, he has that sexy French accent as well ladies!) gave us a basket of bread & butter. The bread had a soft texture and with butter, was delicious!

For appetizer, we got the beef carpaccio- which was on the special menu. This was soooo yummy! I found that you needed everything in a single bite to make it the best that it could be. Meaning, a piece of beef w/ the white sauce, capers, cheese & arugula w/ that oil, citrus dressing on top. Mmmm... I am drooling just writing this haha. Perfect start to my birthday dinner!

Hubby ordered the "bouillabaisse" which is a saffron broth full of snapper fish, prawns, clams, mussels and saffron sauce on top of garlic bread.

I had my fave- mussels! This bowl had a generous portion in it, I almost thought I couldn't finish it- but I did!! The garlic white whine sauce tasted so good that Hubby & I took the bread we got at the beginning of our meal and dipped it in that delicious-ness! So flavourful.

On the side of my mussels, it came with pomme frites (french fries) as well. They were perfectly seasoned & had a soft fluffy texture inside- yum! Along with it, came a garlic mayo sauce. Mussels & fries, perfect combo!

Les Faux Bourgeois & the best birthday present ever (my Hubby, Allan) made my evening super enjoyable! Definitely felt the romance & love on my special night.

Thank you so much for joining me on a special Foodie Friday adventure my loves! Wishing you all an amazing weekend!!

Love, Linda

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour 38 La Fascinante

I stopped by Holt Renfrew because I had a gift card to use up! I knew I wanted to pick something up from the beauty department so I decided to give Chanel a visit.

I decided on the Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in "38 La Fascinante". This lipstick is enriched with ultra thin mother of pearl particles, so luxurious!

Even the box that the lipstick comes in is gorgeous with gold details & it also shows you how to open the lipstick as well!

The packaging is incredibly sleek with it's black lacquered case & simple "CHANEL" logo/wording.

Gorgeous gold chanel logo top!!

It has a spring loaded case, push/click on it to eject the lipstick from the black Chanel case & push again to close and secure it.

"Chanel" imprinted in the lipstick. Makes me not want to use it hehe.

In love with the chic packaging!

Chanel's Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour 38 La Fascinante is a blue-toned red shade. When worn, it gives a neutral red to my lips & would look very flattering on most skin tones! It glided on my lips very smoothly & is quite pigmented. I felt like I got the greatest opacity when I applied 2 layers of this lipstick on my lips. This lippie did not feel drying on my lips, being a matte lipstick I was quite impressed with how moisturizing it felt. Also, the formula did not settle into the lines of my lips as well!

Swatched. This is 2 layers of the lipstick & it is truly a matte lipstick, no shine! Velvet matte finish.

I absolutely adore the look of Chanel's 38 La Fascinante matte lipstick on. It adds a gorgeous, subtle pop of red to my lips. There is nothing more chic than a matte red lipstick!

Thank you so much for reading darlings. Have a fabulous day, MMMUAH!!
