Manicure Monday: Sally Hansen Color Foil Sterling Silver

Happy Monday Cuteys! Today's Mani Monday is a new one from Sally Hansen's Color Foil collection in the shade "Sterling Silver". Ooh lala! Let's check it out below!

The color foil collection is full of beautiful metallic finish nail polishes. Metallic nails are super on trend right now so if you wanna rock them than this polish is the perfect way to do so! "Sterling Silver" is a bright silver chrome metallic shade- perfect name for it & stunningly gorgeous.

For all the polishes in the collection, the disclaimer was to not apply base coat or top coat as this would alter the reflective/metallic finish of it. So I followed the rules & did exactly that. I applied 2 coats for the look above but 1 coat would have been okay as well. As the disclaimer suggested not to apply a top coat, I applied 2 to smooth out the polish. With chrome/metallic finishes they tend to show every flaw on your nails, plus the fact that there is no top coat to hide that. The end result did show some brush strokes on my nails but with the metallic finish it had, it didn't really bother me because it added more of an effect to the polish rather than a flaw. Ooh and another note with this polish is that it says "shake well before use" because it's a mix of colors inside & if you want to get the color perfectly even get ready for a arm workout! Hehe just keeding! Shake, shake, shake & your good to go!

The formula of this polish was an absolute joy to work with! It went on very smoothly & easily and the brush itself was perfect to apply the polish quickly and effectively. Another note I wanted to share with you all was that this polish dried so friggin' fast!! I absolutely haaate waiting for my nails to dry so this was a pleasant surprise!

Did you notice that the packaging of the nail polish matches my nails? Love that! I've seen the metallic nail polish trend when I was in Asia a few years back and I am so happy that it has now arrived in Canada! When I have Sally Hansen's Sterling Silver Color Foil nail polish on, I instantly feel more glam but in a very cool modern way! Have you tried the metallic polish trend yet??

Have an amazing week ahead & have a great Canada Day celebration my loves!! Mmuah.

Love, Linda

H&M Summer 2014 Jewelry Haul!

Hello my Darlings! Welcome to the 2nd part of my H&M haul. Today's post is a haul from H&M's NEW Summer 2014 jewelry collection.

I am obsessed with jewelry & I cannot wait to share with you what I had picked up! ^___^

First jewelry piece I picked up were these dainty silver rings & they were $5.95 CAD. These rings have rigid edges to them which gives them more personality to such a simple ring.

I love it for the Summer time because it's so easy to wear & great for layering with other rings. The pack comes with 2 different size rings big & small so that you can wear it as a normal or midi ring.

Next item I picked up was one that I thought was so unique & definitely caught my eyes! These earrings were $6.95.

You wear it as a stud & it has these cascading crystals that create a half moon shaped when worn. I love it so much & they are very light weight and comfy on. Great for dressing up your ears :)

Lately I have been obsessed with dainty jewelry & the rest of the items I am hauling today is just that! This necklace is $6.95.

It's a gold dainty necklace with 4 crystal encrusted floral pendants on it. Looks so beautiful on, gives it that elegant touch!

I thought this jewelry pack was such a good deal! You get a pair of earrings, bracelet & necklace all for $9.95, awesome!! Plus the gold encrusted crystal heart pendant is so adorable.

You can definitely wear all these together or paired with other jewelry pieces in your currently collection.

I've been searching for a necklace like this in silver for the longest time, so when I found it at H&M I was so happy! This dainty silver bar necklace is $3.95, so inexpensive!!

What I love about this necklace is that the bar is cut in a way that the light bounces off of the grooves to make it look sparkly & shiny.

These bracelets are the exact same style as the necklace above & I loved the bar so much that I picked these up as well in gold & rose gold. Again, it's crazy how these are only $3.95 each!

I am so in love with these! They are so simple but very pretty. You can wear it both together to mix metals or even pair it with other bracelets you have or even your fave watch, LOVE IT!!

I hope you enjoyed my H&M Summer 2014 Jewelry Haul! You will be seeing me wearing all of these jewelry pieces during the Summer season. They are all so easy to throw on & layer with other jewelry pieces and not to mention all very light weight as well. With the summer heat, I love wearing light dainty jewelry!

Thank you so much for reading & hope you have a great day!

Love, Linda

H&M Summer 2014 Make Up Haul!

Hi Loves! Today's post is a haul from H&M's NEW Summer 2014 make up collection. Over the weekend, my sisters & I did a little shopping there and I couldn't help myself when I saw the new make up collection! I also picked up a few jewelry pieces as well which I will share with you on the next post! Let's see what I picked up below!!

Excited to share with you all!

I have never tried H&M brushes before & this one totally caught my eye.

As you can probably tell, this brush is very densely packed & the bristles look like they are in there quite nicely, no shedding or loose bristles. The handle is matte black.

It kind of reminds me of my fave Real Techniques foundation brush but just a tad bit smaller.

The brush feels super soft & I like how the brush has a slight curve to it & is not completely flat.

Very excited to test this brush out and I am sure it will do great things when applying my bb/cc creams or even liquid foundation! What really sold me was on the back of the packaging it said "made in South Korea" & as we all know Korea is known for their make up products!

Next item I picked up was this eye shadow brush from the range "selected". I needed another flat shadow brush because I only have 1 in my collection, can you believe it?! This was $5.95 CAD.

The brush is super cute & feels so incredibly soft and pretty well packed. It does not feel cheap or flimsy at all.

LOVE the color of it as well, gold details & cream how adorable!

I wanted this eye pen in "pink" because I thought it would work well as a base or even for the inner eye corners to brighten them up!

Love the simplicity of the packaging.

It comes with a clear cap & it is retractable so no sharpening required!

When swatched, the eye pen glided on very smoothly to a champagne-pink shade and was very pretty & shimmery.

The last 2 items I picked up were lippies! This is the matte lipstick in "landinski" which is a matte plum purple shade. I don't have anything like this in my collection so I definitely had to pick it up!

Again, very clean-simple packaging. The bottom shows you what shade the lipstick is, which I like! The lipstick tube itself doesn't feel cheap & doesn't feel high end, it's right in the middle- if that makes any sense haha.

This lipstick smells very nice, like berries! It was very easy/smooth to twist up & down.

The lipstick glided on very smoothly, definitely matte & pigmented. The only thing I noticed was that the color was a bit lighter than what the bullet looked like. Very pretty color!!

Last but not least I picked up the lip tint by H&M. I've searched online about this item and have heard good things! Do you guys notice that all of their make up items come in this cute clear plastic box? I think it's amazing because it keeps the product clean & you can see what's inside of it!

These remind me of the oh so popular, OCC lip tars!

Comes in a squeezable plastic tube.

This is what the inside looks like, easy squeeze out tube!

Usually with lip tints, you only need just the teeniest bit- a little goes a long way. This tint does not have any smell to it at all!

WOW! Is that crazy pigmented or what?! That one little dot above gave me that much pigmentation!! How gorgeous! Looks super smooth as well.

Lip tints are great for the Summer time, since you are out & about! I decided to test it & wipe it with a tissue after a minute or so and this was the outcome. It definitely left a tint behind, love!!

This wraps up my H&M Summer 2014 Make Up Haul. So far, I am super impressed with everything I hauled today. I'm super excited to test it out for a longer period of time so I will definitely be using these items in the weeks to come!

I hope you enjoyed this haul & let me know if there are any items that you want me to do a full review on. As always, thank you so much for reading! Have a great day.

Love, Linda
