A-Chino Ice Cream Bars (Brown Sugar Boba, Oolong Tea Boba & Brown Sugar Pudding)

I purchased these A-chino ice cream bars at Price Smart Foods in Richmond, BC. The Brown sugar boba was $7.99, the Oolong tea boba & Brown sugar pudding were $5.99 each. Each flavour had 4 ice cream bars per box & were all deluxe in size!

Brown sugar boba ice cream bars have been so popular so when I saw this at the supermarket, I had to pick it up. A-chino's version of these ice cream bar is beyond delicious. They are so milky & creamy with just the right amount of brown sugar taste to it (not too strong and not too subtle, just perfect). I actually prefer this one over the xiao mei/shao mei ones. The A-chino one is much more creamy, well balanced and it just melts in your mouth!

There are boba (bubbles/pearls) in the bars as well. They are big, stretchy, super chewy & soft. Sooo good!

Highly recommend these brown sugar boba ice cream bars. Open up the package, take a moment to smell the brown sugar goodness and take a bite or two or three.. or eat it all. You won't regret it!

Oolong tea boba ice cream bar. When I looked at the ingredients & saw Tieguanyin and Japanese roasted tea, I was sold!

These are definitely deluxe full size ice cream bars! So big! The top part of this bar is A-Chino's signature creamy, milky ice cream. The bottom part is where all the milky tea flavour is, yum! Look at all those tea leaves. This was also delicious. It had a nice creamy texture with a strong tea flavour. When I was eating this, it reminded me of Shiny Tea's popular white pearl tea bubble tea drink.

There were boba throughout the ice cream bar but these were smaller than the brown sugar ones. They were also not as soft but did have a nice chew/crunch to them. Think boba meets coconut jelly texture.

I really enjoyed the Oolong tea boba ice cream bars. On days where I'm craving some tea flavoured ice cream, I'll definitely be eating these!

This had a icy brown sugar shell with again, the most milky, creamy, strong pudding flavoured ice cream on the inside. I love the different texture the shell gave the bar. With that being said, there wasn't much brown sugar flavour. Probably because it was an "icy" coating so it tasted like a very faint/watery brown sugar ice pop.

Side note: with pudding ice cream bars, I'm use to the sugar being at the top of the bar so having the sugar coated like this was definitely something quite unique. My husband said it was too thick but I actually liked the thickness of it.

I was surprised when I bit more into the ice cream bar that it had little pudding jelly bits in it. These had a nice jelly texture to it & completed the whole ice cream bar in my opinion.

Now, here comes the weird part. My husband had his own ice cream bar and that one had pudding jelly bits in it and mine had none! I guess it was his lucky day. Than it became my lucky day because being a sweetie that he is, we traded.

If you tried the pudding version, let me know if this happened to you as well.

I enjoyed this pudding ice cream bar. Great pudding flavour, creamy & I love the texture of the icy brown sugar coating and jelly pudding bits.

Overall, I thought all of these ice cream bars were delicious. If I had to choose in order of which I liked best, it would have to be... brown sugar, oolong and than pudding. All were not too sweet which I appreciate and they were all huge! You will definitely be satisfied with one bar.

I've never tried anything from the A-Chino brand but after trying these, I am a BIG FAN!

Have you tried these? If yes, what are your thoughts??

Pocky Limited Edition Flavours: Raspberry Pistachio, Lemon Peach & Salty Sakura

I found these limited edition Pocky (Raspberry Pistachio, Lemon Peach & Salty Sakura) from Price Smart Foods in Richmond, BC. They were on sale for $3.99 each! How eye catching & cute is the packaging?!

There are 4 packs in a box and each pack has 6 pocky sticks in it. The Raspberry Pistachio and Lemon Peach are from Pocky’s “Couple de Fruits” collection. The Salty Sakura is from their “Chocolate from JAPAN” line.

Raspberry Pistachio had a nice strong raspberry flavour to it. The coating had tiny bits of raspberry in it which gave it a slight crunch. I didn't taste much pistachio flavour in the biscuit because it was over powered by the delicious raspberry coating. If you are a fan of raspberry definitely pick this up!

Next up, Lemon Peach! This was my favourite out of the three. Anything lemon in dessert form, I am all over it! If you look closely there are bits of "lemon zest" in the coating. This had so much lemon flavour & I could taste the slight peach flavour of the biscuit. So yummy!

Salty Sakura/Cherry Blossom. This was such a unique flavour. Think sweet and salty. The sakura chocolate had a nice sakura taste to it with a hint of coconut. When you bite into it the salt crystals give it a nice crunch in your mouth. The biscuit tastes like the original pocky one.

I really enjoyed all 3 limited edition Pocky. I love how they are a lot chunkier than the original Pocky so you get more flavour in your mouth with every bite!

YUM.

Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts?
