Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer: Park Ave Princess Review

Hello Darlings! I have been searching for that perfect matte bronzer that wouldn't look orange on my skin tone & I finally found it- Tarte's Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer Park Ave Princess!! This bronzer is $38 CAD at my local Sephora.

The packaging is very simple (like all Tarte products-love!) with a bronze 'leather' compact & a magnetic closure. Inside has a nice size mirror with 9 g / 0.32 Oz. of product.

This is a true matte bronzer, absolutely no shimmers in it! It goes on very smooth & silky and looks very natural on the skin (a little goes a long way). Also, it feels very lightweight & lasts all day long! No touch ups needed. I love how it doesn't leave my skin looking orange but gives a nice warm complexion/contour. One thing I need to mention is that this bronzer sets quite quickly so if blending is needed, do it right away because this bronzer stays put!

Tarte's Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer Park Ave Princess is my new go to bronzer. It's definitely worth every penny. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!

I hope you enjoyed this review & thank you so much for reading and watching!
What's your fave bronzer??

Love, Linda

Sam Edelman Ollie T-Stap Pump

Hi Loves! I have always drooled over the Valentino Rockstud Pumps but my wallet wasn't willing to crack open and spend a thousand dollars on a pair of shoes. As I was casually walking by Town Shoes in the mall, my eyes suddenly zoomed into these beautiful pair of pumps & the rest was history!

Sam Edelman Ollie T-Stap Pump definitely gives the look of the Valentino's but for waaayy less! I purchased it for $185.00 CAD at Town Shoes.

There were only 2 colour selections- black leather or ivory nude leather.

I absolutely adore these pumps- the pointed toe silhouette, comfortable low heel, rounded studs & the three strap (2) buckle closure.

Sam Edelman Ollie T-Stap Pumps gives you that rocker chic look for an amazing price point! You will definitely be seeing these beauties in future outfit of the day posts. I can't wait to wear it around town, I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Thank you so much for reading!

Manicure Monday: Maybelline Color Show Onyx Rush

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. For today's Mani Monday we are going back to basics- a black polish from Maybelline Color Show, Onyx Rush.

Onyx Rush is a super opaque & glossy black polish. If you look closely at the bottle there are some barely there black shimmers in it. I applied 2 coats & the formula goes on beautifully.

Surprisingly enough, this is my only black polish in my collection & i think everyone needs a basic black classic nail polish!

What are your fave black polishes?

Have an amazing week ahead darlings & thank you so much for reading!

Maybelline Mega Plush Deep Velvets Mascara Review

Hi my loves! Today's review is going to be a on a new & fun coloured mascara from Maybelline called "Mega Plush Deep Velvets". I got it in the shade 'purple velvet' because I LOVE purple! There is also a navy & green colour in the collection as well! I purchased it for $7.99 CAD but I have seen sales on it for $1-2 less.

The formulation is pretty much the same as the original Mega Plush Mascara (gel-mousse) & the claims are identical as well except for the colour part of course!

Still has the awesome flexor-brush to really grab every lash. The packaging of the mascara is exactly the same as the original except the lettering is in a darker shade.

Has a full bristled brush.

This is with 3 coats of mascara.

I loved how to purple pigments in the mascara was a jewel-toned purple. I find that it tends to show up better on my dark lashes!

Overall, I liked this mascara because it was very buildable, seperated lashes nicely, volumizing, no flaking during the day, good colour payoff, lashes felt very soft & by the end of the day it was very easy to remove. The only thing that would have made this mascara perfect is if it came in a waterproof version (to hold my curl).

I definitely think Maybelline Mega Plush Deep Velvets Mascara is a great pick if you are wanting to have a little fun with your daily mascara routine! The colour isn't too noticeable from afar but when your up close, I love how this mascara gives your lashes that unexpected pop of colour! Especially when your outside in the sun your lashes look even more colourful & vibrant!!

I hope you enjoy the review & found it helpful. Let me know if you have tried it or spotted it at the drugstores :)

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Essence Bloom Me Up

HAPPY EASTER MONDAY DARLINGS! Today's Manicure Monday is very Easter appropriate & Spring as well! I wanted to have a little bit of fun with my manicure today so I used all of the nail polishes from Essence's "Bloom Me Up" collection. This is a limited edition line and is currently in stores- so hoppity hop & grab them now hehe! (I got these from Shoppers Drug Mart) Let's check these pretty polishes out below.

First off, how adorable is the packaging?! LOVE the floral pattern on the cap! Also pastel polishes always screams Spring to me :)

01 Blow My Mint is a creme finish mint polish, 02 Lovely Lavender is a pearl/shimmer finish medium-light pastel purple & 03 Blooming Tender is pearl/shimmer finish pastel peach shade. Such gorgeous shades!!

Along with the colorful polishes up top, I also used Essie's Blanc to balance out the beautiful pastel polishes as well!

I applied 2 coats of each polish & every single one of them glided on beautifully! I've never tried Essence's nail polishes before & I was super impressed at the quality (went on smooth, no streaking, great opacity, brush was easy to use) for such an affordable polish!

I can't get enough of how CUTE this color combo is on my nails! What polish are you wearing for Easter??

Wishing you a wonderful Easter & an amazing week ahead!

Love, Linda

NEW Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara Review

Hi Loves! Today, I am back to do a review on Maybelline's NEW Pumped Up Colossal Mascara! I purchased this at my local drugstore for $6.96 CAD & got it in the waterproof version. There was also a non waterproof version & the only significant difference I noticed was that the non waterproof version has 16x the volume. (Waterproof has 12x)

The packaging of the mascara is very simple with a bright hot pink tube & yellow lettering. It has a almond shaped bristled brush inside and the formula is on the dry side. I do like how the brush tapers at the tip so it provides easy access to the inner & outer corners of your lashes.

I think this has got to be my new fave mascara from Maybelline! My lashes are "barely there" Asian lashes & this mascara provided awesome volume, made my lashes look thick and full, had a great wispy effect, did not clump (3 coats max, 4 coats had a bit of clumping), no flaking, easy to use (root to tip and I like to wiggle it up as well to build up my lashes) & was very easy to remove with my regular make up remover at night. It also held my curl all day long (keep in mind I did purchase the waterproof one).

Overall, I think Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara is great for getting that thick, volumized, luscious look to your lashes! My hubby even complemented me & said it looked like I had false lashes on, OH YEAH!!

I hope this review was helpful to you. Thank you so much for reading & watching!

Have you tried this mascara, thoughts??

Manicure Monday: Revlon Fearless

Hi Loves & Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today's Mani Monday is Revlon's Fearless, which is a bright orange-red cream polish.

Believe it or not, I only applied only 1 coat to my nails because this formula is super opaque, creamy & awesome! I absolutely love these types of reds (bright orange-reds) on my skin tone because it just pops & I think it looks gorgeous especially for Spring/Summer.

I only tried out Revlon's Fearless because of my high school girlfriend blogged about it on her blog & I was obsessed since! So, Evelyn if you are reading this thanks so much for sharing!! :)

Fearless is such a fun, vibrant polish! Definitely recommend this nail polish if you want a non-traditional red shade.

Do you prefer classic reds or bright orange-red nail polish?

Have a great week darlings!

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Sonia Kashuk Petal Pusher

Hi everyone! Today's Mani Monday is Sonia Kashuk's Petal Pusher (from her Spring 2014 line). Petal Pusher is a pretty muted/dusty pink-purple shade. If you are looking for a Spring polish but don't want it to be too bright on your fingers than this is definitely a great pick!

I applied 2 coats to get it nice, even & opaque. I love this polish because of it's creamy finish & of course you guys all know how obsessed I am with SK nail polishes!!

Since Petal Pusher is more of a nude shade, it will definitely match any of your cute Spring outfits! What Spring polishes do you guys like to wear on your nails- bright or muted??

Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Foodie Friday: Basho Cafe

The moment you enter Basho Cafe, you get such a warm, inviting & happy feeling inside! This place is operated by the sweetest Japanese family & you can definitely feel the love that they have for their cafe by the food & welcoming atmosphere of it. I adore everything about this place- the big bright windows, cute knitted details, wooden accents, & pops of happy colors!

Cutest display case full of their baked goodies, mostly matcha/green tea sweets & you guys all know how obsessed I am so this place is truly heaven for me!

Green Tea Mochi & Milk Mochi W/ Red Bean

I got the afternoon set which comes with a matcha latte & 3 different types of sweets: Kabocha Muffin (top on tray), Sesame Cocoa Cookie (right) & Matcha White Chocolate Cookie (bottom). The sweets were all very petite & cute- a 2 biter size! ^___^

How gorgeous is the art in the latte?! I didn't even want to drink it- but I did & it was delightful! Think milky, rich matcha taste- not too sweet & not too bitter.

Honestly, there is nothing like Basho in Vancouver & it is truly a gem in the city! If you are a green tea/matcha lover like I am, you must check this place out- it'll make you so frigging happy!!

Have an amazing weekend!
