NEW L'oreal Pop Balm Review!

It's POP BALM time! Hehe. Such a cute & fun name for these NEW L'oreal lippies. I purchased these from Walmart Canada for $7.96 each. Just a heads up, there might not be a separate display for these pop balms so be sure to look right next to the L'oreal Color Riche Balms for these.

Claims straight from the L'oreal site:

Vibrant Color.
For a Bold, Daring Pout.
8 HR Hydration.

The next generation of lip balms has arrived. Balm Pop enlivens lips with pure, vibrant color and contains Jojoba and Shea butter to nourish and hydrate for a full 8 hours. Available in six daring shades.

(It says 6 shades but there are only 4 shades available: Wild Lily 410, Bold Blush 420, Fiery Red 430, Electric Pink 440)

The packaging of these new Pop Balms are exactly the same as L'oreal's existing Color Riche Balms except for the lettering/wording. It's the exact same lettering as the new miss manga mascara!

These pop balms come in a colored plastic top w/ a chrome silver retractable tube.

On the bottom it shows you the shade name on a colored sticker. Very simple yet pretty packaging! I picked up Bold Blush & Fiery Red because as you all know I adore my everyday pinks & pop of red lippies.

Bold Blush 420 is a pretty rosey pink shade.

Swatched. Love how these can apply sheer with just 1 layer or to full opacity with 2-3 layers.

Fiery Red 430 is a orangey-red shade.

L'oreal Pop Balms have a slight sheen to it. They have a slippery feel to them, like a regular lip balm! Also, they are very pigmented & much more opaque comparing them to the color riche balms. These glide on so incredibly smoothly onto my lips, super creamy & soft on. Very nice & moisturizing. My lips felt hydrated for about 5 hours until I needed to re apply. By the end of the day, after wiping everything off it did leave a slight stain & my lips felt super soft. Ooh, I forgot to mention that they do have a slight vanilla scent to them as well- nothing too strong. One tip I would like to share with you is that definitely make sure your lips are exfoliated before applying these as it could accentuate those dry areas. These lippies leave your lips with a pretty, fresh & vibrant color to it.

If you are looking for a lippie that is lightweight, easy to use & gives you a vibrant pop of color to your lips, I highly recommend you check these NEW L'oreal Pop Balms out. The feel of a balm but the look of a lipstick. PERFECT for Summer, LOVE!!!

I hope this review was helpful to you, thank you so much for reading! MMUAH.

Fall Fashion Haul: Oasap, Forever 21 & Ebay!

Hi my loves! Today I am hauling some Fall Fashion pieces along with a few jewelry items as well. I know Summer is still here but I am slowly starting to shop for some Fall pieces so that I will be ready once the new season starts. Let's see what I picked up from OASAP, Forever 21 & Ebay below!

First up, I picked up this light denim button down shirt. This top would definitely work for the Summer as well if I was wearing a shorter short & I wanted to cover up more. Just tie it around my waist & I am good to go! For the Fall, this denim top would make a great layering piece under a leather jacket or even over a good old tank top!

I would definitely pair this with a statement necklace when all buttoned up!

Don't mind the wrinkles, it was in the mail & this is the top right out of the package. I love this denim top, so many ways to wear it! Fall staple for sure.

How pretty is this lavender cardigan?! I LOVE the color so much! I would pair this with some leggings, a tank top, booties, or even a wedge sneaker boot.

Adore the 2 pocket detailing.

The hem on this over sized cardigan is a high-low one & I love the semi-sheer fabric on it.

I think maxi skirts are a must for the Fall. It really does keep your legs warm, especially if it has a good weight to it like this one from Oasap. Maxi skirts are so versatile. You can pair it with a tough leather jacket, tank tops, or even throw on a cute sweater with it.

I love the chiffon pleated detailing & ruffled hem.

This maxi skirt also came with a removable black belt as well. You can wear it with the skirt or even use to cinch in your waist if you decide to wear a sweater over it.

I think a faux leather pair of leggings is a must for Fall! I got these at Forever 21 for only $10!! They will be on heavy rotation, I am sure of it! The quality feels very nice & it is so comfy. Also the "faux" looks really pretty and not that tacky shiny leather when worn on. I also picked up a few sunnies from F21 as well, they have been on their A-game with it! Cat eye sunglasses are like an instant face lift so I have been obsessed with them lately. These pair are super cute because of the cut outs on them, super chic! Every girl needs a pair of simple aviator sunglasses & these ones are just that. They have a black frame & a subtle olive colored lens. Love them on days where I want to be casual/cool.

Last but not least I got these 2 fab earrings from Ebay. They are the double pearl stud earrings (Dior inspired) & the crystal stud w/ 3 pearl detail earrings. I adore both of these so much & have been wearing them constantly! The double pearl earrings are worn on more dressier days & the other on casual days. Both very unique, pretty & super eye catching!

We have come to the end of my Fall Fashion Haul featuring Oasap, Forever 21 & Ebay! I hope you all enjoyed it. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest of your Summer!

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Tea Party

Happy Monday Darlings! I hope you had a great weekend & good Monday so far. Today's Mani Monday is Sally Hansen's NEW Miracle Gel polish in "Tea Party". Let's check it out below!

Miracle Gel requires 2 steps, the color coat & a top coat. This duo is suppose to last 14 days w/ color+shine!

Tea Party is a beautiful, muted light baby blue shade. Perfect for everyday wear & during the Summer! This shade makes my nails look clean & fresh with a hint of pastel blue to it.

No light is needed for the gel finish of this polish.

The formula glided on very smoothly with thanks to the wide brush/applicator. I loved how it covered my entire nail bed with just 2 strokes.

For my manicure, no base coat was required, I applied 3 coats to get it to full opacity & finished it off with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat below.

The top coat comes in a dark black bottle because it has UV sensitive ingredients inside.

The top coat had a nice not too watery/not too thick consistency. It applied really smoothly onto the nails & it was incredibly easy to work with. The brush was exactly the same as the color coat polish.

I found that this polish duo dried quite quickly in my opinion. Like I mentioned above, I applied 3 coats + a top coat and it dried to the touch within 5 minutes & completely dried in 30-35 mins. Pretty impressive because usually with that amount of polish on my nails it would take at least 45 minutes to 1 hr to completely dry.

I am still in the process of reviewing & testing out this polish duo so definitely check back for an update/full review. So far, I am really loving everything about Sally Hansen's Miracle Gel polish! "Tea Party" makes me feel quite classy & I think I should really be attending a Summer garden tea party with this polish on. ^___~

Thank you so much for reading & wishing you a fantastic week ahead!

Love, Linda

NEW Maybelline Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation Review

Hi Darlings! Today's review is on Maybelline's Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation. I purchased mine from Walmart for $12.96 CAD. Pretty good deal for the amount you get, 20 ml bottle. There are 12 shade selections. I got it in the shade 40 Nude because it has that yellow/golden undertone to it & it matches my skin tone perfectly!

Claims: Breakthrough texture fuses with skin. A finish so impeccable, yet undetectable.
Exclusive dropper.
Medium to full coverage, ideal for normal skin.

For best results: Shake well.
Unscrew cap. Holding dropper vertically, allow foundation to drop onto fingertip.
Apply to face.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle & on the outer/bottom portion it shows you the color of the foundation. In my opinion, the shade is not truly 1:1 than what is on the inside, foundation was a bit darker but close enough for you to decide on what shade you are at the drugstore. Also, comes with a screw top.

Here is the most intriguing part of this foundation, the unique dropper!

It has a tear drop shape with a pointed end & when you hold it vertically the foundation gets covered and full on the tear drop part & drips downward & lands on your fingertips. Now with the dropper, I find that sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't. Depends on how much foundation you pull out of the bottle. If the dropper is well coated than the foundation will drop by itself but if it's not than you are going to wait forever! What I do is just scrape the tear drop part on my clean fingers & I am good to go!

Here is a swatch of the foundation on top & a "drop" on the bottom. The consistency is quite watery & once you blend it out it feels like a serum on your skin, very nice. It blends so effortlessly and smoothly onto your skin. For this foundation you can use your fingers or a brush. When using a brush you don't have to use much effort to buff it in, the foundation does the work for you because of the amazing formula.

I find that this foundation is a light to medium coverage. 1-2 layers would get you light coverage & 2-3 is a medium coverage. I wouldn't say this is a full coverage foundation because my dark red pimples still peeked through (a little concealer did the job!) but it did do a great job at evening out my skin tone. This foundation is great for all skin types, if you have dry skin it will keep your skin hydrated because of the watery texture. Combo/oily skin is great as well, just make sure you apply a setting powder after. I have combo skin & this foundation left me with a dewy finish by the end of the day, not a grease ball at all! With setting powder, this foundation lasted on my combo skin for 8-9 hours & without 7-8 hours. Looked amazing from morning to night. Left my skin with a healthy, natural glow, in between a matte & dewy finish.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation felt so nice on my skin, it looks super natural & does not feel/look cakey even if you apply 3 layers & it feels like my skin can breathe. It does not crease in your fine lines and does not catch onto dry spots. Looks like my own skin, love!!! This is probably one of my new fave drugstore foundation. If you are looking for a great everyday natural light-medium coverage foundation, I definitely think you should check this out! IT'S AMAZING!

Thank you so much for reading & I hope this review was helpful to you! Have a great day my loves.

Love, Linda

Foodie Friday: Ramengers

There is a really good ramen place in town! Let's go on a Foodie Friday adventure to Ramengers!!

I find it super adorable that the theme of the restaurant/menu is based on "heros". Reminds me of avengers but instead "ramen-gers"! Cute.

The tables & chairs were super adorable, very small- kind of feels like your in Japan.

Hubby & I both ordered the shio ramen, mine was the regular size and he up-sized his.

Inside included a egg, green onion, corn, bamboo shoots, deep fried onion, noodles, shio broth (which was quite nice), seaweed piece & the most delicious pork!!

This pork was so unique because it was chared with soy sauce so it added extra flavour to the meat. It was so incredibly delicious and I have never had anything like it at any ramen restuarant.

We also ordered extras on the side which was their onigiri & so glad we did! We never tried anything like this before so it was quite exciting!! Onigiri is a rice ball formed in a triangular shape w/ seaweed wrapped around it (or in this case under it :) filled with different flavours.

Cha siu onigiri. The meat inside was perfectly chared & had a great flavour to it. Each bite was so yummy when you get the rice, cha siu, seaweed & mayo top- delish!

Tuna onigiri. The tuna was mixed with egg roe, this was good as well but I really liked the cha siu!

Ramenger's has offically made me addicted to their onigiri's & their ramen, especially that oh so delicious pork!

Thank you so much for joining me on this Foodie Friday adventure. Happy Friday & I hope you have an amazing weekend!!

Love, Linda
