NEW Maybelline Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation Review

Hi Darlings! Today's review is on Maybelline's Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation. I purchased mine from Walmart for $12.96 CAD. Pretty good deal for the amount you get, 20 ml bottle. There are 12 shade selections. I got it in the shade 40 Nude because it has that yellow/golden undertone to it & it matches my skin tone perfectly!

Claims: Breakthrough texture fuses with skin. A finish so impeccable, yet undetectable.
Exclusive dropper.
Medium to full coverage, ideal for normal skin.

For best results: Shake well.
Unscrew cap. Holding dropper vertically, allow foundation to drop onto fingertip.
Apply to face.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle & on the outer/bottom portion it shows you the color of the foundation. In my opinion, the shade is not truly 1:1 than what is on the inside, foundation was a bit darker but close enough for you to decide on what shade you are at the drugstore. Also, comes with a screw top.

Here is the most intriguing part of this foundation, the unique dropper!

It has a tear drop shape with a pointed end & when you hold it vertically the foundation gets covered and full on the tear drop part & drips downward & lands on your fingertips. Now with the dropper, I find that sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't. Depends on how much foundation you pull out of the bottle. If the dropper is well coated than the foundation will drop by itself but if it's not than you are going to wait forever! What I do is just scrape the tear drop part on my clean fingers & I am good to go!

Here is a swatch of the foundation on top & a "drop" on the bottom. The consistency is quite watery & once you blend it out it feels like a serum on your skin, very nice. It blends so effortlessly and smoothly onto your skin. For this foundation you can use your fingers or a brush. When using a brush you don't have to use much effort to buff it in, the foundation does the work for you because of the amazing formula.

I find that this foundation is a light to medium coverage. 1-2 layers would get you light coverage & 2-3 is a medium coverage. I wouldn't say this is a full coverage foundation because my dark red pimples still peeked through (a little concealer did the job!) but it did do a great job at evening out my skin tone. This foundation is great for all skin types, if you have dry skin it will keep your skin hydrated because of the watery texture. Combo/oily skin is great as well, just make sure you apply a setting powder after. I have combo skin & this foundation left me with a dewy finish by the end of the day, not a grease ball at all! With setting powder, this foundation lasted on my combo skin for 8-9 hours & without 7-8 hours. Looked amazing from morning to night. Left my skin with a healthy, natural glow, in between a matte & dewy finish.

Maybelline Dream Wonder Liquid Touch Foundation felt so nice on my skin, it looks super natural & does not feel/look cakey even if you apply 3 layers & it feels like my skin can breathe. It does not crease in your fine lines and does not catch onto dry spots. Looks like my own skin, love!!! This is probably one of my new fave drugstore foundation. If you are looking for a great everyday natural light-medium coverage foundation, I definitely think you should check this out! IT'S AMAZING!

Thank you so much for reading & I hope this review was helpful to you! Have a great day my loves.

Love, Linda

  2. I really wanted to give this product a try, but sadly, it does not come with a safety seal!!! I refuse to buy any product that isn't sealed up -- too many nasty germs lurking out there. In future, can you please mention whether the products you review come with a seal? I don't have a car (severe driving phobia here) and I hate having to walk all the way to the store, only to find that the product I want lacks a seal.
