NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation Review

Hi Darlings! Today's review is on NYX's Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation. I purchased mine for about $10 CAD.

PROS: -squeeze tube, easy control
-20 shades to choose from
-blends easily
-feels lightweight on skin
-looks natural, has a "matte" finish w/ a natural glow to it
-evens out skin tone
-does not feel sticky on skin
-does not feel like it clogs pores & break me out

CONS: -have to apply 4-5 layers in order to get a full coverage
-a little bit of creasing on laugh lines & eye lids
-oily/greasy after 2-3 hrs. without powder & 5 hrs w/ powder (I have acne prone, combo skin-mainly t-zone)
-not long wearing

I hope this review was helpful to you. As always, thank you so much for reading!

Have you tried this foundation, what do you think??

Love, Linda

Weekend Trench Coat & Antique Sneakers OOTD

Hi Loves! Today's OOTD is a casual/cool weekend outfit!

I absolutely adore these Keds sneakers for it's antique gold design/pattern on it. They are so comfy for running around town on the weekends.

A trench coat is so versatile, you can dress it up or down- in this case it's a casual cool vibe. I paired it with a simple grey t-shirt & kept the jeans on the same color palette as well. For my purse, I wore my Chanel messenger so I can be hands free when picking up some delicious Vietnamese subs & drinks with my sister and of course weekend errands!

Hope you enjoyed this weekend OOTD! Thank you so much for reading.

♡ Linda

Manicure Monday: Revlon Seychelles Sand

Hi Darlings! I am so in love with today's Mani Monday!! Revlon's Seychelles Sand from their Limited Edition Haute Rocks Pebbled Nail Enamel Collection. Let's check it out below!

Seychelles Sand is a 3D matte sparkle inspired by exotic pebbled beaches & pebbled in texture. It has a milky cream/white base filled with small, medium & large hex. glitters (some are holographic). The glitters are champagne, gold, light pink & a unique shade of light green in color- so pretty!!

This polish dries to a matte, slightly textured finish- just feels like the texture of a bunch of glitters all dried up. For my nails, I applied 3 coats of the polish & a regular top coat to make the finish of my nails extra shiny!!
I love this polish because not only can you use it on its own but you can use it as a glitter top coat as well, very versatile.

Revlon's Seychelles Sand is a bold & super beautiful polish! It is perfect for the Spring/Summer season. Definitely head to your local drugstores if you want to pick one up because this polish is going to be the most popular out of the entire collection. Think Sand but in a very shiny, glittery, chic version!

As always, thank you so much for reading and wishing you a fantastic week ahead.

Fashion Friday: Minimalistic Skort & Double Pearl Necklace

Hi Loves! Welcome to Fashion Friday!! Today's OOTD is a minimalistic rocker/chic look.

A simple white tee is perfect for the warm weather & I tucked it strategically on the right side of the skort because I didn't want to disturb the flow of the asymmetrical flaps of it. I LOVE skorts because you don't have to worry about showing anything. Skirt & short in one, super chic!

Zara's double pearl choker necklace is a dupe for the Chanel version but definitely way more wearable! This double pearl choker works beautifully as a statement necklace when paired with a simple outfit.

I adore this look so much! By adding cute & chic accessories to a plain tee & skort you get such a fab minimalistic cool rocker, chic look!!

Have an amazing weekend & thank you so much for reading. Mmmuah!

Manicure Monday: Revlon Girly

Happy Monday! I hope you all had an amazing Mother's Day weekend (We Love you Mommies!). This week's Mani Monday is super girly, sparkly & fun- Revlon's Girly from their bubble gum days and urban nights collection and now in their permanent line. Lets take a look below!

This girly polish is a milky pink/lilac base filled with fuchsia, light pink, purple-blue hexagon glitters. Also, in this glitter party there is smaller light pink & purple hex glitters that at different angles & light, give off a holographic effect! SO PRETTY!!

I applied 3 coats (polish is sheer) to have the fullest opacity & topped it off with top coat. I love when I pull the brush out the bottle there is always glitter on it, makes it so much more fun to apply the polish to your nails.

Totally feeling like a girly girl with this polish on! ^___^

What is your fave glitter polish?

Love, Linda

Goody Dent-less Waves Jumbo Foam Rollers Review

Hello Beauties!! Today's review is on Goody's Dent-less Waves Jumbo Foam Rollers. I have been using this about a month now & I can finally share my thoughts on it with you all! I purchased it from my local Walmart for $13.97 CAD & it comes with 9 pcs.

3 easy steps.

Jumbo Foam Roller comes with the squishy foam roller & a velcro closure/strap to hold the hair in place. Very simple & easy to use (takes me about 5 minutes to put all the rollers in). Also the roller is nice, light & soft so it is super comfortable to sleep in (if you choose to use it overnight).

With my hair about 80-90% dry (still a bit damp) I put the rollers in my hair. I section off my head in 4 and with each section I use 2 rollers each & for the top section I use 3 rollers, which totals 9 rollers. By morning, the rollers were still on my head & curled up (did not loosen or fall apart during sleep). After applying my make up, (these rollers are amazing at keeping my hair away from my face as well hehe) I take the rollers off and of course by this time my hair is completely dry. Once all the rollers are off, I like to run my fingers through my hair to loosen the waves & break them up. After I take off the rollers, I like to add a bit of mousse or hairspray because my hair tends to fall flat without any product in it. The results is a pretty, bouncy loose wave without the dents of course! Love it.

Overall thoughts is, I really enjoyed using these rollers because of how easy and fast it was to use. I wished the set came with 11-12 pcs. because 9 was just enough for my medium-long, medium thickness hair. If your hair is shorter or thinner than mine than it would be enough but if you have even longer or thicker hair than I do than definitely pick up 2 sets of this! These rollers are great for that on the go girl or if you have no time to do your hair & especially for busy moms. Pop in your hair at night and have a hairstyle for the next day, how awesome is that!

Looking for loose, natural, dent-less waves without applying heat to your hair? Than the Goody Dent-less Waves Jumbo Foam Rollers is the perfect hair tool for you!

I hope this review was helpful to you. Thank you so much for reading!!

Love, Linda

DIY Jewelry Organizer Box ♡

Hi cuteys! Don't throw away your pretty little boxes just yet!! Today I am going to show you how to create your very own jewelry organizer box. This one in particular is a macaron box from my hubby's (Allan) birthday that was just too cute to throw away!

Tools that you'll need:
Pretty box
Ruler or measuring tape
Pencil or pen
Scissors
Felt piece
Poster board

Step 1: Measure base of your box (length & width) & trace w/ your ruler onto felt piece. Cut & place felt into the base of your box.
Step 2: Measure depth of box
Step 3: On your poster board measure, trace & cut out 2 strips each of (length x base) & (width x base)
Step 4: For each strip measure & mark a dot of half the base measurement and 2 dots for a 1/3 of the length of the strip.
Step 5: Cut each strip half way up (should be 2 cuts each strip)
Step 6: Connect the strips/cuts together (length strip going horizontally & width strip goes vertically)
Step 7: Place the sectionals in the box
Step 8: Your DIY Jewelry Organizer box is complete! Add your pretty jewelry pieces in it & close the box w/ the top ♡

Now your jewelry pieces can stay protected & dust free! Add this pretty little box on top of your dresser, vanity, etc. It will be a gorgeous eye candy & only you will know that your precious gems are inside! ^___^ Hope you enjoy & thank you so much for reading!

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Revlon Pink Chiffon

Happy Monday my loves! Hope you had an amazing weekend :) Today's Mani Monday is a polish I absolutely adore from Revlon called Pink Chiffon.

Pink Chiffon is a baby pastel pink jelly finish polish. It applies quite sheer so 3-4 coats will get it up to the fullest opacity, so worth it though!

This polish is a gorgeous, pretty polish for the Spring/Summer & all year round because it goes with any outfit! Probably one of my top faves from Revlon and I always get a ton of compliments when I have this polish on (oooh & it makes my skin look instantly tanned!). ^___^

Thank you so much for reading & I hope you have a great week ahead!

What is your fave pink polish?

This Weekend Buys!

Hi Darlings! Hope you had a wonderful weekend so far. I thought it would be fun to share with you all what I had picked up this weekend!

So I went to Walmart & they were having a friggin awesome sale on their Crest products. I got a box of whitestrips (need to whiten my teeth, they are starting to look a bit yellow esp. when I wear lipstick-not cute!) which were HALF OFF!! Also, got the Crest 3D white luxe toothpaste, love this stuff because it whitens my teeth a lot faster than the original Crest whitening toothpaste.

I was also running low on my L'oreal micellar solution (removes my make up amazingly at the end of the night) so I picked that up as well. Okay.... I am a total sucker when it comes to people instagramming or tweeting pics of products & recently a bunch of pics of the Nivea lip butter in rasperry rose kept popping up. I was super intrigued & I made a mental note in my head that I HAD to buy it since everyone was raving about it. Super excited to try it and the packaging is so adorbs.!

Last (but certainly not least) in the beauty department I got the Essence get big lashes volume boost waterproof mascara (again, suckered in from online pics >__<). Not that I needed another tube of mascara (hello, my name is Linda & I am a mascara addict) but the girl who took a before & after picture of her lashes sold me! Her lashes went from non existence to HELLO!!

Definitely need some dessert for a relaxing weekend & I wanted to share with you all my ALL TIME FAVE Green Tea ice cream. I bought this at T&T Supermarket. If you guys want to taste a creamy, just enough sweetness & matcha/green tea flavor ice cream than you must try this! I've gotten a few friends & family members hooked on this tub of goodness!!

Did you do any shopping this weekend??

Thank you so much for reading! Mmuah.

Love, Linda
