Happy Monday Darlings! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today's Mani Monday is NYX's "Surf". Let's check it out below!!
Surf is a light minty-turquoise shade with subtle micro gold & turquoise shimmers to it.
The brush was thin & wide, which I didn't mind because it made painting my nails very quick. The only thing I noticed was that the polish pooled a bit at the cuticles but I manged to get my nail bed evened out.
I applied 2 coats to get it to full opacity. The shimmers in the polish is not too noticeable on my nails but if you look super close you can see it.
The formula of this polish was on the watery side, so definitely have a light & careful hand when applying.
NYX's Surf is a beautiful polish with a glossy finish as well! You could probably get away with no top coat but I applied my out the door top coat anyway! Definitely gives my nails a punch of color (if mint & turquoise made a baby, this would be the shade) that is perfect for Summer!
Thank you so much for reading & wishing you a great week ahead!
HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS! In today's Foodie Friday post, we are headed for some Asian desserts at "Icy Bar". Let's go!!
It was super hot this evening so hubby & I wanted something to cool us down after dinner. We headed to Icy Bar on Kingsway in Vancouver. Never been before so we were excited! Inside, was very spacious & bright. The decor was minimal but inviting. They had colorful lights hanging & also big bunches of sticks to separate the entrance from the dining area.
Hubby ordered the red bean crystal tapioca cake. I had a bite of it and was pretty good, had a good amount of red bean in it & the cake was not too soft or hard. Simple presentation on a long rectangular plate.
I ordered red bean, green tea mochi icy! This was definitely stuffed to the top. It came with a side of condensed milk so you can pour as much as you desire on top of your icy. Inside the bowl had of course shaved ice (not flavoured), matcha mochi, red bean mochi, red bean & vanilla ice cream. Once I drizzled some condense milk on top of the icy plate it had more flavour to it, was defnitely very refreshing on a hot Summer evening. My only complaint was the mochi. It wasn't fully cooked because it was still chewy and hard, & not the good chewy a mochi has. Otherwise the matcha & red bean flavour of the mochi was delish!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend & thank you so much for reading and joining me on this Foodie Friday post!
Happy Monday Loves! Today's Mani Monday is "Starry Pink" by Revlon. A very subtle yet gorgeous glitter polish! Let's check it out below.
Starry Pink is a very light pale pink (almost muted) polish with silver glitters. It is filled with teeny tiny round silver glitters & bigger hex ones as well.
The polish was so easy to apply & got opaque in 2 coats. Formula was not too thin & not too thick, just in between. Glided on my nails very nicely without any bubbling!
Revlon's Starry Pink is such a pretty polish!! It makes my nails look so soft, super romantic & I can stare at all those pretty silver glitters all day long- just like the stars in the dark night sky, except this one is pink! ^___~
Wishing you an amazing week ahead & thank you so much for reading!
Hi Loves! Micellar solutions have been popping up everywhere in the drugstore & recently Nivea had released their version. Here is my trial & thoughts review on Nivea's NEW Sensitive 3 In 1 Micellar Cleansing Water! I purchased mine from Walmart for $7.77 CAD. Let's check it out below!
The cleansing water comes in a clear plastic bottle. I love that it does because you can see how much product you still have left very clearly.
The cap opens & close with a "snap" sound. Feels very secure but I wouldn't travel with this as the cap can be easily jerked open. The hole is a good size & it made it very easy and mess free to dispense the product out.
Nivea's Micellar Cleansing Water is made for sensitive skin. Claims to cleanse, removes eye make up & moisturize to soothe skin. How to use: gently massage to skin with cotton pad while keeping eyes closed. Also, it has no added parabens, colorants and perfume.
When I tried this product out, my make up consisted of: Maybelline dream wonder liquid foundation, Kate brow powder, Majolica majorca waterproof mascara, Clinique bottom lash mascara, Clio waterproof gel liner, H&M eye pen, Physicians formula eyeliner, ELF blush & Sonia Kashuk's lip tint. I thought it would be helpful to let you know so that you have some sort of an idea of what this solution will take off.
I started with removing my face make up off first. It was very easy to use & my foundation, brow powder & blush was removed with ease. Felt like water all over my face, very nice & gentle.
Next up (with a new cotton pad), I removed my lip tint which came off nicely & I checked my lip lines carefully and there was not a lip tint in sight! Awesome!!
Finally onto the toughest make up, the waterproof eye make up! I applied the cotton pad to my eyes for about 5-10 seconds while working the product in a little bit. After doing so my eye make up was completely removed, except for the eyeliner on my tight line. I was so impressed & just worked the cotton pad on my tight line a little bit more (naturally hard area to remove make up) & it was completely gone! All clean and no panda eyes. Ooh! Just a heads up, I did somehow got a bit of solution into my eyes. It did sting just a teeny tiny bit but it wasn't anything too crazy.
My overall thoughts of Nivea's NEW Sensitive 3 In 1 Micellar Cleansing Water is it's amazing! Definitely a great product and I enjoyed using it. It felt very gentle yet effective at removing my make up off my face. The only claim that I was kind of iffy about was "moisturize to soothe skin". My skin didn't feel super dry & tight after using this but I did feel like I still needed to use a moisturizer. Ooh, this micellar cleansing water also has grape seed oil in it! Which helps with acne, acts as a moisturizer & a bunch of other good stuff!
I hope this review was helpful to you & thank you so much for reading!
Alo alo my sweet friends! Today's make up tutorial is a super easy eye look that you can wear every single day for school! It is just the perfect amount of eye make up & it will match any cute outfit for school. ^___^
Hope you enjoy!
Love, Linda

Happy Friday Friends! Let's head to "The Fish Shack" (aka, heaven for a seafood lover) for today's Foodie Friday adventure!
The decor was pretty genius if you ask me! For their feature wall, they had pallets hung up all over. Light pendants were hung with rope, simple wooden tables & TV's for some entertainment. I felt like I was on a fishing boat. So unique & eye catching!
Paper menus & mason jar water holder, love!
HOOK IT & COOK IT! This one wall had information about different types of fish. If you want to nerd out, definitely spend a few minutes reading this wall. You might learn something new! ^___^
Hubby had their creole fish & buffalo prawns tacos with a side of fries! Love the presentation in a wired basket & black and white checkered paper.
I ordered the filet-o-fish shack which had fried cod & creamy coleslaw in it. I switched my fries to one of their seafood poutines. The fish was perfectly fried, not too oily with just the right amount of batter on it. Coleslaw was fresh and creamy and gave the sandwich a nice fresh bite to it. I loved their poutine because of the sauce that was drizzled on top, not too sure what it was but it was scrumptious!!
I don't know what it is about seafood, especially when it's in fish & chip form. I just love munching on it especially during the hot Summer months. Are you guys like that too??
Thank you so much for reading & have a great weekend darlings! MMMUAH.
Italian food anybody?? Hehe. Happy Friday & 1st day of August Loves! Today's Foodie Friday adventure is at "Ask For Luigi". A casual Italian-inspired restaurant!
The decor was kept very simple with wine bottles, olive oil tins, single candle on each table, clean wooden seating area & black and white checkered flooring. I love the big windows for natural lighting & also adore that the kitchen area is open so that diners can see their food being cooked and it just created a nice feel to the restaurant. Very casual & relaxing vibe.
Bocconcini Fritti to start! This was so yummy because it had a very light batter around the cheese, with a soft inside & topped with a bit of tasty basil pesto.
Hubby had their pappardelle & duck ragu dish. I had a bite & it tasted very fresh, full of tomato taste & the duck was delicious and meaty! Love the clean presentation on the white plate.
I had their tagliatelle, fennel sausage & rapini dish. The pasta was perfectly al dente, sausage had a great peppery/spicy flavour to them & the sauce was so fresh and lemon-y! Very yummy & I find this pasta is perfect and light tasting for the Summer time.
Ask For Luigi is the perfect brunch, lunch or dinner spot for a casual, fun time with family or friends! Definitely can taste the freshness of the dishes & handmade love that goes into it.
Thank you so much for joining me on today's Foodie Friday adventure. Wishing you a amazing weekend ahead & we shall speak soon! Mmmuah.
