The weekend is here! Happy Friday everyone!! For today's Foodie adventure we are headed to a not so average Vietnamese restaurant called "Baoguette". It's a cute & cozy spot, located right by English Bay Beach. Let's go!
I loved the simple, modern-traditional vibe inside. There were glass chrome trimmed "patio" sidings mixed with antique dark wooden cabinetry, shelves, tables & chairs. Along with wooden floors & nice clean white tiling on the walls. The windows were nice and big as well so the restaurant was filled with beautiful natural lighting.
Umm.. how cute of an idea is this?! Water in a mason jar! Very hipster but cool. ^___^
Hubs & I started off with spring rolls. It was fried perfectly with the right crunch to it. The filling had more veg. than meat but I enjoyed it! Sauce was yummy too. Loved the clean presentation on a white rectangular plate!
We were both feeling under the weather so a nice hot bowl of Pho always does the body good! I got the chicken flavor. It was delicious!! The broth was very clear but with a lot of flavor to it & there was a ton of noodles and chicken+chicken balls as well.
Came with a side of bean sprouts, lime & herbs all on a wooden board. Makes it feel very gourmet. Love it!
Hubby ordered the beef special & he said it was delicious as well. You get a clearer view of the presentation of the food in this pic. too!
It's like Vancouver knows it's the weekend & it just decides to rain. Lucky for all of us, a bowl of hot Pho is just right around the corner! "Baguette", the cool Hipster restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy some delicious Vietnamese food in a modern setting. Plus, if it's raining you can enjoy a nice, long romantic walk by the beach after! Perfect.
