Manicure Monday: Sunshine Sparkle

Hi loves & happy Monday! It finally rained over the weekend and I needed some sort of sunshine in the Summer. I decided to paint my nails for Mani Monday a sweet yellow shade from Revlon called "Sunshine Sparkle." There's always sun after the rain ^___~

Sunshine Sparkle is a pale soft yellow with fine silver sparkles. The sparkle is not too noticeable once I applied the polish on, only in the sunlight does it truly SPARKLE!

With this polish, I applied 3 coats to achieve the "non streaky" look. It did look streaky with just 2 coats.

Revlon's Sunshine Sparkle does give my nails that soft yet bright & cheery look to it, perfect for a sunny Summer day or even to brighten your mood up after the rain! The name suits the polish perfectly.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have an awesome week ahead!

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: OPI In The Spot-Light Pink & Revlon Heavenly

Ahhh... fresh start to a new week! I hope you all had a great weekend & happy Monday!! For today's Mani Monday I wanted something light, fun & girly. Let's see what combo I came up with below!

I used 2 coats of OPI's In The Spot-Light Pink & 1 coat of Revlon's Heavenly.

"In The Spot-Light Pink" is a milky, soft, natural, light pink polish. It gives your nails a nice clean look to it but for my manicure I wanted a light neutral pink shade to peek through the glitter top coat. You can definitely use it alone as well, I find that you will need to apply 3-4 coats in order to get it to the fullest opacity since it is a sheer polish. "Heavenly" is a beautiful polish that you can use alone or as a topper. It is a super gorgeous milky translucent polish full of iridescent glitters that are square & hexagonal in shape. This polish looks beautiful over light or dark bases.

I adore this polish combo. Everytime I look at my nails I feel so fresh, young & free! Also, it makes me smile when the sunlight hits those iridescent glitters- just so pretty! Great nails to frolic around the city during the Summer time!!

Have an awesome week darlings, mmuah.

Love, Linda

Foodie Friday: Tap & Barrel

Happy Friday cuteys! Today for our foodie adventure we are off to Tap & Barrel. As some of you may know, my all time favourite view in Vancouver is of False Creek Science World & this place will give you just that. You definitely cannot miss it with the beautiful outdoor patio seating & big red umbrellas!

Local & comfort food, yes please!!

There are 2 floors in Tap & Barrel full of bar seats, tv screens, outdoor patio seating & beautiful bright windows.

I dined upstairs & it was sprinkling out when I was there so no patio for me! Next time for sure though. I love how their decor is big beer barrels, very eye catching & cool!

Loving the mason jars as mugs, very in!

Brunch time is on until 2 pm there so that is exactly what we had! To start we ordered the oh so famous, deep fried pickles. They were perfectly fried & had a great crunch and taste, so yummy! The dip was a sour cream & dill, perfect combo.

I had the Quebec Street Poutine Benny which was soooo good! Definitely very different than most poutines. The fries were delicious by itself but to add even more greatness, it was topped with pulled pork, cheese, 2 perfectly poached eggs (when you poke into them the yolk just gushes out onto the fries, mmm), hollandaise sauce & a delicious red wine and onion gravy sauce. All of those contents all in one bite is truly comfort food at it's finest. Loved it!

Hubby ordered the Tavern Brunch Burger. I had a bite & oh my goodness! The meat in the burger was soooo good, you can definitely taste the quality in it.

Look at that egg yolk go! I will definitely come back to Tap & Barrel to try their dinner menu. I love that after your meal you can walk right out of the restaurant to a beautiful view of False Creak, how fun and even romantic!!

Thank you so much for reading & I hope your weekend is filled with delicious food & fun!

Love, Linda
