First off, if you guys haven't tried Sonia Kashuk's nail polish then you are definitely missing out! Her polishes are AMAZING! The way the formula & brush work together is magic. I have never had any problems with streaking or anything it just glides on so smoothly & effortlessly on my nails. I LOVE SONIA KASHUK NAIL POLISHES. A LOT!

Breakfast At Tiffany's is a minty green-blue pastel shade. I applied 2 coats for that nice & smooth even finish! With this polish, the finish is so shiny- you could even skip your top coat if you wanted to.

This polish definitely gives my nails that fresh, subtle Spring look & is sure to be one of the must have nail polishes for this Spring!

Foodie Friday: BETA 5

WHOO HOO!! HAPPY FRIDAY!

We are going to check out BETA 5 on today's Foodie Friday post! BETA 5 is a chocolate & pastry shop located in the most unexpected part of Vancouver- the industrial area! I love how the shop itself is in a warehouse/garage, very cool, hip & friggin awesome!

They had gorgeous chocolates on display, BTW BETA 5 is one of North America's top 10 chocolatiers!

I thought it was nice to see a huge clear window in the shop, where you can see the artisans work their magic!

There was also a table filled with a variety of items (jam, chocolate bars, etc.) that you could buy & take home or give as gifts as well.

Sometimes simplicity is all you need to showcase your products & still leave a lasting impression. It was very bright & beautiful inside!

Hubby & I ordered a couple cream puffs & chocolate pieces. How adorable & pretty is the presentation of these sweets?! On the left is Blueberry Yuzu & on the right is Milk Chocolate S'More cream puff. Their cream puffs were so delicious!! They had a buttery slight crunchy shell with the most yummiest flavour-filled filling, YUM! For their award winning chocolates, on the left we have Earl Grey & right is Crispy Praline. I can definitely see why BETA 5 is the place to get your chocolate fix. It had a wonderful taste to it, not too over powering & not too sweet. Also, the chocolates had a very nice crisp snap to it when you bite into it (what BETA 5 is all about!). ^___^

Wishing you a very SWEET weekend!

Sonia Kashuk SPRING 2014: Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm + Take Cover Concealing Stick Review + Nail Polishes!

Happy Spring Loves! Sonia Kashuk has recently launched her Spring 2014 products & I had to pick up a few from her collection! In particular, I got the Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm and Take Cover Concealing Stick. Also, some gorgeous new Spring polishes as well. Let's check them out below!

The Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm was $9.99 CAD at my local Target and I got it in the shade "Enchanted" a gorgeous bright pink.

Packaging is very sleek & simple w/ a matte black bottle & white wording on it. Also, it had a bright pink sticker on it showing you what color was inside the bottle. I love how simple but pretty it looks!

The applicator is in between a hard & soft bristle brush. Very easy to use, I love how the bristles spread out when applying product on the lips & the size of it is perfect for those outer lip corners.

What I like to do is dot about 5 dots (one cheek at a time, just to make sure I can blend it out right away) on each cheek and just blend it out with my fingers. It gives such a nice and natural dewy finish to my cheeks & I just absolutely love how natural the pink is on my cheeks (the color might look like such a bright pink but I promise you when you blend it out it turns into a soft pink). It looks like my cheeks are blushing from within so it makes them look so vibrant & fresh.

For my lips, the formula feels ultra moisturizing and it makes my lips feel very hydrated. When I drank water, I looked at the rim of my cup and there was little to no transfer of color. After eating & wiping my lips with tissue, it basically left a nice stain on my lips.

Sonia Kashuk's Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm felt very light weight on both my cheeks and my lips- LOVE!

Next up, we have the Take Cover Concealing Stick. I got it in the shade "dawn" & it was $8.99 CAD.

Again, very simple & pretty packaging.

The concealer comes in a retractable stick.

This concealer is very creamy, super blendable & buildable as well. How I like to use this is massage my ring finger over the concealer & than dab the concealer onto my imperfections and blend out. I find that doing so, melts and warms up the concealer to make it more creamy rather than just applying it directly onto the face.

I find that this concealer works great for covering acne scars, redness & pimples. I don't however think it is great for the under eye area as it is more of a thick consistency it tends to accentuate the lines. Since the formula of this concealer was very creamy, I had no problems with it sticking to my dry patches.

You may or may not know this but I LOVE SONIA KASHUK NAIL POLISHES!! They are truly amazing. The formula always glides on so beautifully & the brush is just perfect when applying the polish to the nails.

I picked these pretty polishes up for $4.79 CAD each, which I think is awesome for the quality you get. There are 9 fresh Spring shades to choose from & these 3 stood out to me the most. Breakfast At Tiffany's (left) is a mint green-blue shade, Petal Pusher (center) is a muted/dusty pink-purple shade & Pinky Promise (right) is bright hot pink shade. All so gorgeous & very trendy for this Spring!

I hope you enjoyed my review on some of Sonia Kashuk's Spring products! I do recommend all of the products I mentioned above, they are great must haves for this Spring. Especially if you want to look nice & fresh! Have you tried or spotted any of these yet??

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Essie Bikini So Teeny

Hi Darlings!! Today's Mani Monday is Essie's Bikini So Teeny. Just wanted to take a moment to point out that we can officially say GOODBYE to Winter & HELLO to Spring!! I wanted something to celebrate this long awaited season change so let's check out this polish below.

Bikini So Teeny is a nice soft periwinkle shade with a very subtle silver shimmer to it. It has a cream finish to it & applied evenly with just 2 coats! Remember when I said it had silver shimmer to it a second ago? Well, in the bottle it was very noticeable but on my nails it is barely visible.

Overall, I absolutely adore pastel polishes. Screams SPRING to me & it's just so friggin' cute!! What's your fave polishes to wear for Spring?

Have a awesome Monday & wonderful week ahead! Mmmuah.

Love, Linda

PS: You will see Bikini So Teeny on my nails, never a Teeny Bikini on my bod. though! ^__~

Foodie Friday: Yavis Club Cheesecake

Happy Friday my loves, hope you all had a wonderful week! For today's Foodie Friday adventure, I am taking you to Yavis Club Cheesecake in Richmond BC.

The decor inside is very minimal & simple. Quite spacious inside so you definitely have privacy while enjoying their cheesecake!

I thought the definition of YAVIS was pretty awesome, don't ya think??

My hubby & I ordered "Rainbow After The Dark" which is a glacier style cheesecake. Glacier style basically means a frozen cheesecake- tastes like hard ice cream! We've never seen a multi-coloured cheesecake before so this was definitely one we had to try. It had all the flavours in one: mango, wild berry, green tea, sesame & original. Super yummy & very unique!

Being the green tea fanatic that I am- of course we had to order the "Matcha Green Tea" New York Style Cheesecake. When I order anything with matcha/green tea in it, I always am very picky with the amount of matcha taste in it. This cheesecake had the perfect amount of green tea taste in it, was very well balanced with all the other ingredients. I love how they put little details in the presentation, isn't it pretty?!

Once the sun went down outside, the owner turned down the lights & lit up all the candles on the table. It made the whole ambiance more romantic & inviting.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend full of laughs, love, great conversations & hopefully some cheesecake!

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Essie Demure Vixen

Happy Monday my loves! Today's Mani Monday is Essie's Demure Vixen!!

Demure Vixen is a light mauve color with a subtle hint of light purple shimmer to it. If you want to see the slight shimmer in action, try putting your nails under the sunlight & BAM! Super pretty purple shimmers appear. This shade is so gorgeous & soft looking.

I absolutely love Essie polishes, the formula & brush makes painting my nails so easy! Ooh btw, I applied 2 coats to get that nice even look.

Essie's Demure Vixen is definitely a unique & different polish & that's why I love it so much! What nail polish is unique to you?

Wishing you a amazing Monday & a wonderful week ahead! Mmuah.

Foodie Friday: Top Gun J&C Restaurant

HAPPY FRIDAY Cuteys! For today's Foodie Friday post, we will be visiting a restaurant in Richmond BC called: Top Gun J&C for some delicious Dim Sum!! This is probably one of my fave spots for Dim Sum, I fell in love with their food ever since my hubby took me here years ago. I absolutely adore the huge windows this place has because it lets in natural light & the decor is simple yet feels very inviting.

As soon as you take a seat at the table the waiter/waitress asks you what kind of tea you would like. They have a wide selection of top grade loose leaf tea for you to choose from- of course I had to get green tea DUH! (yes, I admit I am a green tea addict!) Once you get your selected tea, they have traditional Chinese tea cups for you to brew it in- LOVE!

Har Gow (honestly the best I have ever tried, its perfection & you guys must try it when your here), Tofu w/ mushrooms & Siu Mai. All of the dim sum dishes are always very fresh tasting here & never too oily. I seriously think they have perfected every dish on their menu- it's that good!

Looking at this dish is making me drool... deep fried squid w/ mayo dip. The squid has a very light batter which makes every bite that much more yummier & so addicting!

Steam sticky rice with egg yolk, mung beans & pork inside.

I saved the BEST & MOST UNIQUE for last! This is the one dish I have to order every time I visit Top Gun for Dim Sum. It is the deep fried chicken wings stuffed with sticky rice- so friggin cool right?! Not only does it sound awesome, it tastes amazing as well! I can't describe it, you just have to try it for yourselves. ^___^

Hope you enjoyed this Foodie Friday post, wishing you all a relaxing weekend (hopefully with some Dim Sum in your tummy). We shall speak soon! Ahhh....TGIF.
