Foodie Friday: YouGo Chicken!

Happy Friday & Happy Chinese New Year Loves!!

Today, I am introducing a new series on my blog called "Foodie Friday"! Although, I love anything to do with beauty- I also love me a good meal. What better way to share my love for food! So, every few Fridays I will posting about different food adventures for you guys.

Today's Foodie Friday is a new food court spot called YouGo Chicken.

If you guys know me, I am OBSESSED with Aberdeen Centre's Food Court in Richmond BC (cheap, tasty & you really get a lot of food). Recently, they just had a new addition- YouGo Chicken (Taiwanese food)! I got reeeallyy GIDDY! ^__^

When I think of Taiwanese food, I immediately think of deep fried chicken nuggets- so that is exactly what I ordered. The "popcorn chicken with rice" to be exact.

The popcorn chicken was really juicy & moist with just enough salty, peppery flavour to it. The batter on it was just right as well & it wasn't too oily at all. It was one of the best Taiwanese chicken nuggets I have ever tasted- prefect crunch to it! Mmmm...

Along with the chicken- it also came with Japanese rice sprinkled w/ sesame seeds, sides which included celery and enoki (has slight ginger flavour), tomato eggs (tasted like ketchup- was so delicious), firm tofu pieces with small onion bits. All in a cute little bento box that filled me right up. It was the perfect lunch or even dinner meal!

I am glad I stumbled upon this new food court vendor. Will definitely be trying other menu items in the near future hehe. I hope you guys enjoyed the new "Foodie Friday" series!

Wishing you all good health, fortune, success & happiness in this new year of the horse. Happy Lunar New Year my loves & thank you so much for reading.

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: Essie Blanc

Happy Monday Loves! For this week's Mani Monday, I wanted something fresh & clean looking. What better color than white! I love how it looks on my nails- very crisp & mod. I must say ^___^

Essie's Blanc is a snowy white opaque polish. I applied 2 coats to give it that nice smooth full coverage look.

Everyone needs one in their nail polish collection, would be perfect for french manicures as well. Also, it would match any outfit you put on hehe.

Chinese New Years is this Friday (Jan.31st) & it's another fresh new start to a brand new year! I thought this clean & refreshing polish- Essie Blanc would be perfect for the celebration.

Have you ever tried a white polish before for your mani.'s?

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead & also a very Happy Chinese New Years!

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: NYX Coral Sensation

Alo cuteys. Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! After last week's dark polish, I wanted something brighter & lighter this week. Today's Mani Monday is a beautiful NYX polish called Coral Sensation.

This is truly a gorgeous coral shade & doesn't it just scream Spring/Summer?! (only a few more months, yay!) The polish applied very evenly & smoothly. The brush bristles were tightly packed and it gave a nice "bounce" once I swept it across my nails. I applied 2 coats.

One of my fave blushes is Nars Orgasm (coral color with a hint of gold shimmer) & this polish is exactly that. Obviously I NEEDED this polish in my life! ^__^

The packaging of these NYX Advanced Formula polishes really reminds me of Deborah Lippmann's, don't cha think? For a drugstore polish, it sure looks high end. LOVE.

This polish by NYX- Coral Sensation is such a cheerful, fun, punch of color. I can't just help but to stare at my nails & move them back and forth to see the light reflect off that gorgeous gold sheen.

Thanks so much for reading loves. Wishing you all an amazing week ahead! We shall speak soon.

Love, Linda

Linda N. Young - Dafyne Me Bella

Hi Darlings! I still cannot believe that 2014 is here, 2013 really flew by. What can I say.. 2013 was truly a year full of life lessons & also one of the best year of my life (I married the love of my life-my hubby Allan)!

Lessons in 2013 regarding friends, family, relationships, business & life in general. It was one crazy, whirlwind year BUT with the bad comes the good & negatives can turn into positives- if you can look at it in a positive light. Personally, I learned A LOT in 2013 and of course not all of my situations were positive but I learned to look towards the positive side of everything & chose to switch gears and just be happy- after all happiness is your choice! ^__^

Last year I went through some cray roller coasters & I just needed to find something or somewhere I could go to so that I can "escape" for a little while. To be in a whole new environment where I could find meaning and challenge myself. Before we get into that, during that time I noticed I was always browsing through the beauty sections at drugstores and browsing at Sephora & quite often finding myself purchasing make up & beauty products. It was slowly becoming something I grew a lot of interest in and it made me excited and happy. Now, back to the story.. suddenly something in my head went AHA! Why didn't I share my findings & my experiences with these products with other people?- An outlet that I needed. From there on, I started my very own YouTube beauty channel & later on a second channel for weekly vlogs. When I first started I was scared as heck! But as time went on, I started to feel less scared- more challenged and happy.

This new experience has definitely made me grown into a different person and made me realize that what I was dealing with in life was going to be okay. I am glad I made that choice of challenging myself in order to escape for a bit. That feeling of being scared to do something gave it that much more reward for me. Becoming a youtuber definitely gave me an outlet to "vent" what was really happening in my life. It was like therapy for me. I don't know about you guys but when I get into a tough situation it actually motivates me to do or try something different. I am so glad I did because I love what I do and the people friends I get to make & connect with online.

With all that being said.. 2014, will definitely be better because without those lessons & challenges in 2013- I wouldn't have been able to write this blog post & share my experience with you. Just wanted to let you guys know that I am back (with just a few more sections to add to my creation, Dafyne Me Bella) and I can't wait for what 2014 has in store! I am Linda N. Young, creator of Dafyne Me Bella. I feel friggin fantastic & life is awesome when you look at it positively!! Now lets make 2014 SUPER AMAZINGLY WONDERFULLY AWESOME!!

Thank you so much for letting me share my thoughts & feelings with you. As always, thank you so much for reading. See you all very soon. Have a wonderful day! Mmmuah.

Love, Linda

Manicure Monday: OPI Eiffel For This Color & Sally Hansen Midnight Glitz

Hi my loves! It has been forever since my last blog post (just switched from wordpress to blogger). Definitely promising myself to keep up with the blog posts this year + I miss you guys (my darling readers) as well! Today’s Mani Monday is a polish my sister actually gifted me (OPI). I also topped it off with the Sally Hansen polish. Let’s check them out below!

Sally Hansen’s Midnight Glitz is a polish I recently picked up, it is fairly new to the drugstores. It’s basically a glitter topper & it has gold holographic hex/regular glitter and black matte glitter in a clear base- super pretty! I used one layer of it on my nails & it applied very smoothly. Next up we have OPI’s Eiffel For This Color & it is a dark vampy polish with a bit of purple shimmer to it. I used two coats.

I don’t know about you guys but when I looked at the Midnight glitz polish, I immediately thought that a black polish would go perfectly with it. When it came time to use this baby, I thought “Hey why don’t I use a dark purple polish instead!” Since there were gold glitters in the midnight glitz polish, I thought a deep purple polish would go so perfectly with it- and I was spot on! Using a dark purple polish as the base showcases the matte black glitters & also the gold glitters as well- in a subtle (but different) way of course.

This glitter topper by Sally Hansen- Midnight Glitz will definitely amp up any manicure. It’s not an overly glittery polish, which I appreciate. It just adds the right amount of glitz to your mani!

Thank you so much for reading, I hope you all enjoyed! Take care everybody & I promise it won’t be long until the next blog post ^__^ Mmuah.
